Meet Dr. Jared Maharaj-Poliah
At Norwood Health & Wellness, we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Jared Maharaj-Poliah to our healthcare team. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Dr. Jared is excited to bring his skills back to the community he grew up in. He comes with a strong clinical foundation and a genuine passion for helping people move and feel their best.
Educational Background and Expertise
Dr. Jared began his academic journey at the University of Manitoba, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) in Psychology. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario, one of Canada’s most respected chiropractic institutions. He also holds a certification in instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, which he earned during his time in Toronto.
A Thorough Approach to Patient Care
Dr. Jared works with patients across a wide range of conditions, including back and neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, and joint concerns in the arms and legs. His care typically combines chiropractic adjustments, joint mobilisation, soft tissue therapy, and personalised rehabilitation exercises, all shaped around each patient’s individual goals and needs.
Beyond the Clinic Walls
Outside of work, Dr. Jared leads an active lifestyle through martial arts, weight training, and golf. He is also a guitarist, a hobby he discovered in childhood and has kept up ever since.
